Tribute to a King is major success

Whew, what a great day of basketball at Centennial. I've filed my report for Rivals.com and it can be read FREE on our national page.

Two upsets and two important wins in the four games of action. The Power Poll certainly has some changes in the works as Columbia lost to McEachern and Centennial was knocked out by Marietta. Wheeler survived a scare and Tucker overcame one of the best individual performances all season from Trey Thompkins.

Here are my top 10 players from Monday's action:

1. Trey Thompkins, Wesleyan (44 points, 16 rebounds)
2. Trae Golden, McEachern (26 points, 7 assists)
3. Lorenzo Brown, Centennial (18 points, 10 assists, 9 rebounds)
4. Phil Taylor, Wheeler (22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists)
5. Darrius Garrett, McEachern (17 points, 12 rebounds, 8 blocks)
6. Richard Howell, Wheeler (14 points, 10 rebounds)
7. DeAndre Cannon, Marietta (13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists)
8. Aric Miller, Tucker (17 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks)
9. Manny Atkins, Tucker (25 points, 11 rebounds)
10. David Forest, Columbia (22 points)
